Service providers

Version 1.0, from 7 Nov 2026

Draft under legal review. The final text may change before it applies.

These are the outside services DocResto uses to run the Services. Each one handles a restaurant's data only for the purpose shown. When a provider is added or replaced, DocResto emails the owners of every restaurant before using it.

Hetzner

  • Purpose: the server that runs DocResto, its database and its daily backups.
  • Data: all of a restaurant's records.
  • Country: [to confirm].

Brevo

  • Purpose: sending email (sign-in codes, password resets, notices and reports).
  • Data: the recipient's address and the email's text.
  • Country: [to confirm].

Anthropic

  • Purpose: writing the weekly note, only for restaurants whose owner switches it on.
  • Data: the week's figures and the names of branches, dishes and ingredients. Never people's names, phone numbers or customers.
  • Country: United States [to confirm].

Chatular

  • Purpose: the chat assistant in the app.
  • Data: the questions a signed-in user types, and the figures it reads from DocResto as that user. It cannot read customers, staff, payroll, vendors, users or the audit log, and names are removed from the reports it reads.
  • Country: [to confirm].

Sentry

  • Purpose: reporting errors in DocResto, when switched on.
  • Data: the error and internal ids only. Never request contents, cookies, IP addresses or user details.
  • Country: [to confirm].

Not a DocResto provider: WhatsApp

A restaurant that links its own WhatsApp number to DocResto sends price requests to its vendors through WhatsApp. That is the restaurant's own WhatsApp account, under WhatsApp's own terms.
